Dear God,
I call President Trump the Innovation President in our Innovation Age. This has been demonstrated in many of his accomplishments. Recently he was able to broker the Abraham Accord, a peace and prosperity agreement between the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Israel. Should President Trump win re-election, it seems quite likely that after all these years, peace could break out in the Middle East, including Iran. That did not come out easily or quickly.
The president withdrew from the Iran deal negotiated in the Obama/Biden administration. He moved our embassy to Jerusalem. And he didn’t agree with many prior administrations that the first step had to include an Israeli-Palestinian agreement. This was really innovation at work. He was nominated by three parties for the Nobel Peace Prize for this historic stroke of genius.
Secretary Pompeo, whom I deeply respect, stated that, “The Abraham Accords are the greatest step forward for peace in the Middle East in a generation.” This was the first time any Arab country had normalized relations with Israel since Jordan in 1994. Though Bahrain and the UAE had never been involved in a war with Israel, Gulf countries had boycotted Israel since its independence in 1948. Arab countries have had concealed relations with Israel over the years.
The accords are named after the Patriarch Abraham, regarded as a prophet in Islamic, Judaic, and Christian faiths. President Trump stated, “thanks to the great courage of the leaders of these three countries, we take a major stride toward a future in which people of all faiths and backgrounds can live together in peace and prosperity.” This innovation in the Middle East is a very real element of innovation that is an important argument for four more years. This fresh and novel approach to foreign policy could (and I believe will) engender amazing results in peace and security, prosperity, freedom, democracies, spiritual harmony, really all ten elements as described in detail in my Mona Lisa book, Wisdom for Heaven on Earth.
Another innovation that President Trump is accomplishing is the wall to help secure our southern border. I agree with President Trump that, as a sovereign nation, we have the right to control immigration. During the China Virus, the wall has had the unexpected consequence of helping protect us from spreading that virus from along the southern border. Merit-based immigration legislation needs to be enacted, a DACA citizenship path determined through legislation, and a kind, fair, legal way to legally determine the handling of illegal immigrants; especially law abiding people who have resided in America for a long period of time and contributed in some worthwhile way to our nation.
This whole area of immigration needs to be reformed just like Trump and Republicans’s hugely successful tax reform which, along with deregulation, led to an economic boom for the American people.
We should trust President Trump and Republicans with a majority Republican House and Senate to accomplish immigration reform, an important task to enhance America.
Let’s innovate with our ballot.
In Christ’s name, Amen.
