“The Wall Street Journal,” (dated Thursday, March 24, 2022) has an extraordinary Opinion article, “Spies Will Doom Putin,” by Mr. Douglas London, a former CIA operations officer with 34 years of service and the author of “Spying and the Lost Art of American Intelligence.”
Mr. London notes, “Mr. Putin’s disastrous choices” and explains other possible aggressors-“notably China-must take notice.”
He gave a brief and very interesting history of CIA’s Russian agents than can now be named who were drawn into spying for America out of disgust with Soviet actions toward family members and the Russian people. (risking their lives and not motivated by money)
Mr. London states, “Mr. Putin has proved his country is the declining power that the best-informed Russia watchers claimed it was.” Also, “Mr. Putin is no longer the master chess player.”
In conclusion, Mr. London asserts that Mr. Putin “…will have to contend with a new generation of patriots who will fight for Russia’s freedom and bring about his doom.”
Pray for the Ukrainian people, those in battle and ones who fled! Pray for FREEDOM, everywhere, including Russia and China!
