Top-Down government regulations are rarely efficient; partly because they inherently employ one-size-fits all rules and/or they are complex and become a real burden to follow.
Also, quite importantly, regulations stifle freedom and prosperity.
Democrats tend to be authoritarian in nature and lean heavily on regulations which can be an unseen impediment to millions.
