The self-defense of Ukraine is vitally important to the Free World; and the good news is that opportunity knocks! “The Wall Street Journal,” (dated Saturday/Sunday, April 2-3, 2022), has extensive coverage of the war. It includes a page one article, “Moscow Regroups, Signaling It’s Ready for a Prolonged War,” by Mr. Yaroslav Trofimov.
Mr. Trofimov describes various actions, yet ends on an hopeful note; that 35 donor nations, “agreed to provide Ukraine with long-range artillery, armored vehicles, counter-battery systems, and anti-aircraft and coastal defense weapons.”
A retired former commander of the U.S. Army in Europe stated, “The next three weeks will determine whether Russia’s war of attrition can succeed.” Quickly providing the weapons, “can break the back of the Russians while they’re down…and [the Ukrainians] can win.”
Pray for haste as well as securing a lasting peace in Ukraine, a state which cannot be “won” through appeasement.
