“It is a good thing that war is so horrible, or we might grow to like it.” –Robert E. Lee (1807-1870)
The above quote is from another time, and yet it is very pertinent NOW. Dictatorships in Russia, China, and Iran see a closing window of “opportunity” because with fair, honest, and legal elections America’s Congress should turn Republican.
However, war is inherently uncertain.
Last night Mr. Gordon Chang, author of “The Coming Collapse of China” on “Life, Liberty, and Levin” stated that China’s dictator, Xi, and Russia’s dictator, Putin, had met 37 times. Putin met with “President” Raisi in January, 2022 also. Additionally, China and Russia have been conducting joint military exercises.
China has the largest navy in the world (by vessel count), the largest army in the world (by number of troops), and the largest air force in Asia. (according to “The Wall Street Journal,” an Op.Ed. by Messrs. Clark and Doran, senior fellows at the Hudson Institute, dated January 28, 2022).
I simply have to comment; The present war-like situation would be entirely different had America had fair, honest, and legal elections on November 3, 2020 and in January, 2021, in the Georgia senate runoffs.
China, Russia, and Iran are in somewhat hazardous territory domestically. China’s problems include real estate, infrastructure, and state owned companies with tremendous debt; aggravated by Xi’s rule since he took over in 2013. Russia has some discontented people and a declining population. Iran embodies an ill-served population with about 70% of the populace being under 30.
However, dictators start wars in times like this to distract their “subjects” (regardless of the risks, uncertainties, and peril to their people). Egotism, power, and megalomania can motivate such tyrants. The people be DAMNED!
America is at war from within and without. Fasten your chin straps. And PRAY!
ALWAYS NON-VIOLENTLY in America.
