LISTENING

To seek WISDOM from one’s birth requires so, so, so much. One key is listening and learning from others. Most understand that path, whether they follow it or NOT.

Let’s evaluate another form of listening, LISTENING TO ONESELF. Such an ongoing practice can and does have immense impacts on one’s life journey.

Most of ourselves is packed in our brain’s unconscious realms. But each time we verbalize or otherwise express our NOW thoughts, we get a peek into our neural system – all parts are there; data, knowledge, feelings, wisdom, somewhere within us our “little piece of God,” and who knows what else.

If one develops, over time, (starting anytime); a habit of listening to oneself, all sorts of possibilities arise. It’s a form of discovery. How in the world can anyone refine their own self without listening to their own mind?

Maybe, the first and perhaps foremost blessing in this habit is the long road to honesty and truth.

Another obvious benefit is grasping one’s own depth of knowledge about so many things. These would include academic studies, work, one’s own feelings, and on and on.

Yes, listening to oneself, as a habit, helps to guide us toward excellence, truth, honesty, wisdom, and growth.

The above words are the tip of the iceberg of my ten years of psychoanalysis – up to four times a week – after which I had about 18 years of follow-up analysis (also the product of my 76 years of life experiences). Obviously, my words above are incomplete. But, my bottom line is as follows:

LISTEN TO YOURSELF!
