Coming from China itself, a ray of hope arises. The Hitler of our time, Xi, China’s dictator, apparently has some opposition within the Communist Party itself as he tries to grasp a third 5-year term this fall. He became the dictator in 2013 and the Communist Chinese Constitution has a two-term limit as it now stands.
“The Wall Street Journal” (dated January 22-23, 2022) has an Opinion article by a former Prime Minister of Australia (2007-10, 2013).
The account reports on “two articles in the Party’s historically most important outlets” (within China) may object to Xi’s “ideological move to the left.” Currently “the country’s property section, which is worth about 29% of gross domestic product is experiencing a wave of defaults.”
Mr. Rudd explains; “…the economic destruction Mr. Xi’s centralization of power has wrought may give his critics leverage that they haven’t had for years.”
Let’s hope and pray that the source of what I call the Xi Virus retires this year, NON-VIOLENTLY!
