(Written in the present tense although event happened last night.) I am at Basin Seafood on Magazine Street in my home since 1977, New Orleans. As I await a dozen oysters on the half shell and a dozen charbroiled ones, I sip my Diet Coke and water.
The oysters arrive and are quite sumptuous. Having enjoyed oysters since childhood, the Monday sale at this casual restaurant gives me an excuse to indulge myself; and healthy too.
Being kind to oneself and others helps us on our life journey. A genuine “Thank You” propels ALL.
Stars and Stripes can express joy for America.
